Igloo Village in Zermatt Switzerland

After sorting through all the photos we took in Switzerland I have decided to break up our trip into segments. This segment is about our overnight stay in the Iglu-Dorf igloo village in Zermatt. We found the igloo village online and thought it was so unique we needed to try it! When we met the group to hike up to the village, we were greeted by a camera crew from the travel channel and they were doing a show on extreme travel and asked to mike up Chris and I. We will be on the show when it airs sometime in the future and they did follow us for the entire time we were there. I have posted a photo of Jann our camera man filming  us as we ate cheese fondue. I have also posted the toilet(yes the seat was very cold), the dining area, the ice bar, the sleeping area with sleeping bags, the outside sun deck, the view of the matterhorn during the day, the entry way with snowshoes(Chris went snowshoeing in a snowstorm that evening in the dark), the kitchen(called kuche) and a map of the igloo village. I was nervous about being cold, but it is a constant 32 degrees inside and I was actually hot inside my sleeping bag(it was rated to 40 below zero). We also went in the hot tub and Chris rolled in the snow for the travel channel camera(very funny).  Overall, it was a great experience and we had a wonderful time in the igloo village on the top of Zermatt!

Now, this is a BED!

Can your bed fit 12 people on it? We traveled to Boston the day after Thanksgiving to photograph this family, we did some traditional shots outside and then had to pile them all on the bed!

Erica and Gunner have expectations

We photographed Erica and Gunner’s wedding last September and they came in on their anniversary to do some pregnancy shots. They are such a great couple and we wish they lived closer so we could see them more. They are expecting a baby boy in the beginning of November and they already have a lovely dog named Kinder who we tried to photograph looking at Erica’s belly, but we captured him playing with Gunner instead. Chris and I wish you all the best in the next few months and are excited to photograph your little one!gunner.jpg

Sofia..who knew?

I did not know that in this cute little red can is champange. What a neat idea. I love the red lipstick and the red can. I will be blogging many more from this wedding soon, but thought this too cute to pass by when I began editing.drink.jpg

A nice May day engagement session

Ok, the forecast was for rain yesterday, but we lucked out and it was NICE! Jason and Abby will be getting married in August this year and have been a couple since their high school days 10 years ago! Since they were visiting from the Virginia area this weekend we decided to get out and shoot some fun images. I am so excited for their wedding as it will be taking place at The Links located in York and it looks like a wonderful venue and they are a great couple. roach036.jpgroach044.jpgroach085.jpgroach092crop.jpgroach114.jpgroach135.jpg
