Amanda and Jason will be getting married this summer at the Colony Hotel and they took the trip up from NYC for a fun engagement session Friday. The weather was really nice and we had a great time running around the port. An added bonus was that it was Amanda’s birthday so that made it even more fun! Chris and I are really looking forward to their wedding!
Maria and Ryan will be getting married in October and we had a lot of fun going around the North End in Boston with them last week. You get to find out lots of cool things about your couples when you are doing an engagement session and I think it makes the photographs on the wedding day come out even better. I encourage all of our couples to do a session like this before their wedding day. Most couples will opt to do the session and it does make a difference in the flow of the wedding day as the photographer and couple have already “tried out” their chemistry. In addition, the couple ends up with some beautiful portraits that they will have forever. Here are a few favs:
We met Dave and Stephanie at the Wentworth by The Sea on a stormy day last month to do a few pre-wedding shots. They live in Southern California so it was really cold for them and it was rainy so we did most of the shoot inside the hotel. They will be having their wedding reception at the Wentworth in February, talk about cold! They were a great couple who were full of laughter and a genuine love for each other. We are excited to photograph their winter wedding. Here are a few favs:
When Matt contacted me about his idea to get photos of his proposal to his girlfriend I was thrilled. We concocted a plan and while Jess thought they were heading to Maine from New York City to visit friends, Matt had an entire plan worked out for them. They got out of the car and I received an “we r here” text from Matt, so Chris and I pretended to be smooching on the beach while secretly photographing the two of them. He had me put out a table on the beach with a special book on it for her. She was so surprised that she was speechless for the first 30 minutes. We then took some fun shots of them enjoying the beach before the sun set then it was off to their next part of the trip. Matt had rented one of the houses at Hidden Pond Resort. We went back with them to open some bubbly and then she learned about the rest of the secret weekend. It was such a wonderful proposal and I am sure they have a wonderful fun life together ahead of them. Here are just a few favs:
Kristyn and Sean will be getting married next May and they drove up from Massachusetts to have a fun session on the beach with their son, Ryan. He was so cute running around chasing the seagulls! Kristyn is a good friend of one of our recent bride’s Mariesa and we had such a great time at her wedding in August that I’m sure Kristyn and Sean will be dancing up a storm! Here are a few favs:
We have been very busy with weddings and families on the beach lately and have not had much time for blogging. I just had to post these fun shots of A and S and little Steve at Goose Rocks Beach. Don’t they look great together? They will be exchanging vows this Fall on Martha’s Vineyard..how romantic! Enjoy.
Chris photographed Beth and Chris in Kennebunkport and at the beach the other day for their engagement session. They look like they had a blast and I am looking forward to their wedding on June 13th! Here are a few favs:
We will be photographing Meg and Hugh next month at one of our favorite venues, the red barn at outlook farm in South Berwick. They drove up from Boston for their chilly e session tonight and we made some great images! They were a blast and really great sports about the cold temps, their wedding is going to be a blast! Megan and Dimitri will be getting married in Kennebunkport at the end of the summer and are currently living in the DC area so when we were there last week we got together for an e session at the Arboretum. We had such a great time with them until we got asked to leave by the guards. They close at 5 and we were pushing the closing time a bit too much I guess. There was plenty of laughter and lots of gorgeous scenery, then again Megan and Dimitri and not too bad to look at themselves. Here are a few favorites from the session.
Tayrn and John visited us from Chicago this weekend and we had a blast going around town and the beach capturing their love for each other. They will be saying their “i dos” in October of this year at the awesome Nonantum Resort. We were blessed with fantastic weather this weekend and I hope it carries into the rest of our Spring/Summer. Chris and I had so much fun with this couple and we are very excited for their wedding!
