Jess and Josh fun engagement session

Jess and Josh will be married in June this year and while the weather has gotten a bit warmer we decided to take advantage and do an engagement shoot around town. We will also be photographing them at their ballroom dance lessons in May which is very exciting! Jess often gets told she has a look a like…can you guess who? barry019rg-copy.jpgbarry012rg-copy.jpgbarry046rg-copy.jpgbarry057rg-copy.jpgbarry155rg-copy.jpgbarry097rg-copy.jpg

Meet cute little Annie

In June 2006 we photographed the wedding of Amy and Steve in York, Maine. In April 2008 we were so happy  to photograph their precious little daughter, Annie. Who do you think she looks like?

Mallory Square Sunset Celebration in Key West

Every evening at Mallory Square in Key West there is a sunset celebration. Many entertainers set up their space to wow the crowd with their many acts of wonder. We saw the “stick man” who juggled items using oars and in this image of him he is juggling a baseball bat above someone’s head. There were tightrope walkers, unicyclists, jugglers and many more. It was such a great sight to see as the sun goes down into the water in the evening.  juggler sunseten.jpgsunsetenjpg.jpgsunsetentertain.jpg

More Key West images

I will try to post a few images a day from our Key West adventure. This one has a great sunset and a view of our fav bar Sloppy Joes. caskeywest0049.jpgcaskeywest0632.jpgcaskeywest0972.jpg

Little Lena

This little cutie was so much fun to photograph today! She had a furry friend with her and her Mom, who was gorgeous! Thank you Auntie Tasha for bringing her in today. lena.jpg

Key West was the best!

I only have time to post one image from our 10 day trip to Key West and it is from the danger charters sailboat trip we took last week. I promised I would get the group shot up today and I will be posting many more from our adventure in the coming days! Danger Charters is the best company on the island! We had such a great time with the crew and everyone aboard. We met folks from Alaska, Nevada, New Orleans and even our neighbors from Port Hardware if you can believe that! Here is the group photo with all the tattoos on! danger charters group

3 seconds is not enough time on the self timer!

Chris’s family was visiting from California and we decided to pose everyone up for a family portrait. Chris set the tripod up and tried to get in the shot, while almost sitting on his grandmother”s lap. We did get a great shot of everyone, but this is my favorite! My next blog post will be from Sunny Key West, Florida where we will be for the next 10 days. caspenny003.jpg

CAKE!

I love cake and wedding cakes are no exception! I thought I would put together a few of my favorite 2007 wedding cakes and cupcakes. The cakes were made by Confection Art in York, Maine and Let Them Eat Cake in Kennebunk, Maine. Yummy!cake.jpg all

And baby makes 3

We first met Leah and Ryan in 2005 when we photographed their wedding in Kennebunkport. It was one of my favorites in the last 17 years because it was so colorful and happy and so much love between Leah and Ryan that it was very memorable to me. We have since photographed Ryan’s sister’s wedding and a friend of Leah’s as well. I was so delighted when they came in recently to have us photograph their first born son, Theo. He was such a champ and wide awake for the entire session. Here is a wedding photo of Leah and Ryan and a collage of their recent baby session.theo1.jpgtheo8.jpg

Beach Day in Maine in the spring?

Last week at my daughter’s school was “beach day”. All the children and staff were encouraged to dress for the beach and when they went on a parade around the school…it was snowing so hard! I just happened to be there when they were outside in their shorts and the principal was taking photos in his shorts. Well, there is always May flowers to look forward to!sea rd beach day
