Happy Anniversary Ev and Sam

We photographed Ev and Sam’s wedding last June in York, Maine and Ev was a bridesmaid in her friend Emily’s wedding yesterday. We snapped this photo of Ev and Sam in front of the Stage Neck Inn where they had their reception last year. They are one of the cutest and funnest couples we have ever met and we are so glad we have become friends with them. Happy Anniversary you two! james520rg-copy.jpg woodward559.jpg

Jess and Josh’s Wedding

I have already posted some of the gorgeous Jess last week, but here are more as promised. The day started at the Freedom Spa in York with hair and make-up, the light in the spa was very nice and we were able to make some great images of the girls. Josh’s family home was absolutely beautiful and it should be, his dad built it and owns Robert Reed Associates in York, Maine. The ceremony took place at the First Parish Church in York Village and the reception was at the York Harbor Reading Room(one of my favorite places in Maine). York Flower Shop provided the flowers and table arrangements and Confection Art of York made the cake with the mini version of their dog on it. The entire day was planned very well with lots of time for portraits and great dancing time, the music was expertly done by Greg Powers and he had them rocking all night long. They even did a great “Paradise by the dashboard lights” with girls on one side and guys on the other. Overall it was a fantastic day and Chris and I felt very lucky to be part of their celebration.comp1.jpg comp2.jpgcomp3.jpg

Sofia..who knew?

I did not know that in this cute little red can is champange. What a neat idea. I love the red lipstick and the red can. I will be blogging many more from this wedding soon, but thought this too cute to pass by when I began editing.drink.jpg

It’s all about the bride today

I just started editing Jess and Josh’s wedding , it took place last Saturday in York, Maine. I had to stop my editing and post a few of the bride. She was stunning and Chris did such a great job of capturing her in her natural beauty and the pretty light around Josh’s family home(which was incredible). I will be posting more from this wedding soon, but I just had to get these up on the blog so I can look at them all day!barry.jpg

One of my favorite families is in town

For the past 7 years we have been photographing Karen, Bill and their ever growing family at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport. Their children are so much fun to be around and capturing their growth has been an honor. I love the last one where I told them all to cry like one of the girls! Karen even snapped a few of Chris in action and I will try to post that one later as well as one of the images from last year’s shoot so you can see how much they have grown.wilshire021.jpgwilshire054.jpgwilshire029.jpgwilshire107.jpgwilshire152.jpg

Sara and John’s wedding weekend

Here are a few images from Sara and John’s wedding weekend in Kennebunkport. Chris spent an afternoon with just the guys on Woody’s sailboat the Eleanor. We have been on the Eleanor many times and have even photographed a few weddings on the boat. It is a lovely sailboat that takes folks out everyday from the Arundel Wharf and you can also charter it as John did for his buds. I just love the photograph Chris took of Sara’s dad and grandad, it is so touching to me. The wedding day was interesting. We started at Studio 41 where Crystal did Sara’s hair and the skies were cloudy, but dry. Sara’s sister gave her a rubic cube to fiddle with in the limo and on to St Martin’s in the field for the ceremony and the skies opened up and it rained hard! After the ceremony I suggested going to the beach because in Maine the weather changes pretty quickly. So we went to the beach and it was lovely weather for the rest of the day. Blooms and Heirlooms provided the flowers and the Colony Hotel was the perfect backdrop for  their oceanside reception.purdy0030.jpgpurdy0044.jpgpurdy0090.jpgpurdy0094.jpgpurdy1.jpg

Gena and Matt at the beach

We photographed Gena and Matt the other evening at Colony beach and we had spectacular weather. Matt and Gena will be getting married in the Fall and we are so excited to photograph their wedding. They were lots of fun and we were all laughing up a storm. Towards the end of the shoot we spotted a vintage car with an older couple eating their dinner in it and we asked if we could use it in the images. I think they came out really cute and I love that the older couple is in the photograph as well.   thebarge041.jpg thebarge123.jpgthebarge162.jpgthebarge171.jpg

Sara lost her flip flop

We met Sara and John 3 days before their wedding at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport for their engagement session. It was a gorgeous evening and we spent some time at the Colony and the beach. When Chris took them out on the Jetty for some shots, Sara lost her flip flop. Of course we had to take a photo of her feet missing the flip flop. I will have lots of images of Sara and John soon, we photographed their boys only sailing trip, rehearsal dinner and their wedding. They are such a fun couple and we enjoyed being part of their lives for their wedding weekend.coyle.jpg

Erin and Sean on Goose Rocks beach

Although it was very cold on Friday night we met Sean and Erin at the beach and they were in very warm spirits. Chris and I will be photographing their wedding on the beach in July and we had so much fun running around Goose Rocks and even going into The Tides Inn for a few shots. They were up for anything which is going to make for fantastic shots on their wedding day, having a relaxed attitude and willingness to try different poses makes a big difference in the overall image. Thank you Sean and Erin for being so fun and we can’t wait until July!mokler010.jpgmokler097.jpg

Nikki’s Bat Mitzvah

I don’t really know where to start with this post. I met Karen, Nikki’s Mom, about 18 months ago when she started planning her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah in Lincoln, Mass. She is one of the warmest people I have met and I enjoyed meeting the entire family and getting to spend this special day with them. The day started off with a gorgeous outside service with the pond and ducks as scenery, a nice lunch followed along with some horsing around. Then later in the evening everyone came back to the Pierce House to party in style. The details from this event were so clever. I especially liked the African baskets that Nikki picked out when she was in Africa last year, they were simple, yet elegant. The Dj was very entertaining and his back up dancers kept the party hopping. There were so many great images to choose from it was hard to pick just these few. I love the photo of Nikki with her Dad as I can feel how close their relationship is just by looking at the image. I must also add that Nikki is a wonderful girl who will go very far in this world with her giving spirit and great personality. Her sister Lulu was a huge treat…I wanted to take her home actually! Overall it was one of the best events we have been a part of and I am so thankful that I have met the Philip Family.philip0058.jpg philip0109.jpgphilip0105.jpgphilip0161.jpgphilip0471.jpgphilip0498.jpgphilip0521.jpgphilip0550.jpgphilip0582.jpgphilip0745.jpgphilip0814.jpgphilip0833.jpg
