Church on the Cape in the snow

Last evening we had the pleasure of photographing Brian and Laurel’s winter wedding at the lovely Church on the Cape in Cape Porpoise, Maine. The sparkling new snow made for a gorgeous backdrop to this very intimate wedding. The groom’s son was the best man and was really proud to be holding the rings and the Holiday decorations made the night very special.

Here is a photo of Emily and James Midgely’s cake that was made by Let Them Eat Cake. It is in the current issue of Grace Ormond’s New England Wedding Style. I just loved her lobster theme throughout the event!

Washington DC White House Party

We have just returned from a long weekend in DC where we attended a Holiday party at the White House with our friends, Brandon and Ajeet Gillard.  The decorations were amazing and my favorite was the large tree in the blue room. The Marine band was playing in one room for dancing, a choir greeted our arrival and the food was too hard to describe. Other DC activities included shopping for Ajeet and I and mountain biking for Chris and Brandon with President Bush and a very unique group of riders. This ride included 2 of the members of the US Mountain Biking Team and both are training and hoping to make the London Olympics. It was a great trip and I hope to post more photos tomorrow.

We love it when the Koch girls come in for their annual photo shoot! They always have such great spirit and enjoy each other so much. I wish I could post images from all of our Holiday sessions, there is just not enough time in the day, but here are a few to give  you a smile!

2008 wedding couples

It was fun to go through and choose a bridal portrait of each of our 2008 wedding couples, when I look at the images I can remember the day and what it felt like to be a part of it. Some were on the beach, golf course, in a church or a park, we pretty much photographed everywhere this year! We have 4 more to go this month and then it is on to 2009! Enjoy!
