Meg and Hugh

We will be photographing Meg and Hugh next month at one of our favorite venues, the red barn at outlook farm in South Berwick. They drove up from Boston for their chilly e session tonight and we made some great images! They were a blast and really great sports about the cold temps, their wedding is going to be a blast! Memorial Day Parade in Kennebunkport

We have a very special Memorial Day Parade here in the Port with a very important veteran and his wife. Former President Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush have attended the parade for as long as I have been here (18 years). They always greet the crowd and give a few remarks. This year Chris was there with the kids and took a few photos. 41 sure looks good for almost 85!

Dance Photos

It’s that time of year..dance photos for our daughter’s dance school, dance house productions. Chris borrowed part of Chloe’s costume to photograph the kids and it did make for some great laughs!

E session in Washington, DC

Megan and Dimitri will be getting married in Kennebunkport at the end of the summer and are currently living in the DC area so when we were there last week we got together for an e session at the Arboretum. We had such a great time with them until we got asked to leave by the guards. They close at 5 and we were pushing the closing time a bit too much I guess. There was plenty of laughter and lots of gorgeous scenery, then again Megan and Dimitri and not too bad to look at themselves. Here are a few favorites from the session.

Celebration of Reading

We have just returned from a trip to Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD where we photographed an engagement session( blog post later) and The Celebration of Reading. The Celebration of Reading is an annual event to raise money for the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation. The authors this year included Kelly Corrigan, Art Smith, Brad Thor, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Jeff Kinney and Coach Mike Krzyzewski. The event took place at The Music Center at Stratmore which was a wonderful venue for this evening. The event was hosted by Doro and Tricia Koch along with President George Bush and first lady Barbara Bush. We enjoyed not only photographing the event, but also listening to and getting to meet all the wonderful authors. Here are a few photos, you can view the slideshow here.

My daughter’s birthday

Today, May 6 is my daughter Caroline’s 12th birthday. To celebrate we spent 3 lovely days in New York City taking in Broadway and all that the city has to offer. It’s hard to believe 12 years have passed since Chris and I first became parents! Here is the birthday girl in the big city.
