Martha’s Vineyard wedding

Amrita and Steve chose to get married on Martha’s Vineyard with just their immediate family and it was just incredible. Steve’s Aunt was the officiant which made it even more special. The Harborview Hotel was the perfect venue for such an intimate affair and had a great gazebo for the actual ceremony. I have actually added many more from this wedding to the destination section of our website, www.casmithphotography.com. It was hard to narrow down my favorites to those here because I loved so many of them.

Dave and Stephanie

We met Dave and Stephanie at the Wentworth by The Sea on a stormy day last month to do a few pre-wedding shots. They live in Southern California so it was really cold for them and it was rainy so we did most of the shoot inside the hotel. They will be having their wedding reception at the Wentworth in February, talk about cold! They were a great couple who were full of laughter and a genuine love for each other. We are excited to photograph their winter wedding. Here are a few favs:

Erica’s Bat Mitzvah

When my friend Mary asked us to photograph Erica’s Bat Mitzvah in Portland last month we were very excited. It is amazing to watch someone you have known since they were little develop into a young woman. Erica had her service and party at the Bet Haam Temple in South Portland. The temple has recently undergone renovations and a large expansion which turned out beautiful. The design of the temple and social hall is really unique and made for some great photographic opportunities. I love that Erica had both sets of grandparents there as well as lots of Aunts and Uncles(that is one of her Uncle’s doing the mid air split). It was a wonderful celebration and we were happy to be there to capture it all! Here are a few favs:

Miss personality

One of my favorite clients was in this week for a portrait session. Jillian is four and a half and full of personality. We had a lot of fun playing around the studio.jillian.JPG
